The Sellia Crystal Tunnel in Elden Ring offers players a challenging yet rewarding experience with its abundance of high-quality Smithing Stones and Somber Smithing Stones. Located in the eerie terrain of Caelid, this optional dungeon is a must-visit for any Elden Ring adventurer seeking to enhance their equipment. This walkthrough aims to guide you through the labyrinthine tunnels, ensuring you don't miss any of the valuable treasures hidden within.
How to Get to Sellia Crystal Tunnel
Sellia Crystal Tunnel is situated north-west of Sellia, Town of Sorcery, and south-east of the Deep Siofra Well. Players can reach this location by traversing Caelid's rugged landscape. Alternatively, there's a shortcut via a teleporter trap located in the Dragon Burnt Ruins in Limgrave. Beware, however, as using the teleporter trap will require you to escape the Crystal Tunnels before you can fast travel again.
Elden Ring Sellia Crystal Tunnel Walkthrough
Once you're at the 'Sellia Crystal Tunnel' Site of Grace, if you entered through the teleporter, you'll find yourself in an area containing a Gravity Stone Fan and Gravity Stone Chunks. For those entering the proper way, turn left from the Site of Grace to find x1 Rot Grease. On the right, a ladder takes you up to an altar of sorts dedicated to a martyr.
The Mining Room
Proceed to the corridor on the left, leading you into a large mining room where miners toil at rock deposits, oblivious from a distance. However, a centipede overseer, known as the Lesser Kindred of Rot, resides in a small wooden hut. This overseer has a lethal array of spells but defeating him will reward you with more than 3000 runes and the Pest's Glaive weapon. Inside the hut, you'll also find x1 Golden Rune (5) and x6 Shimmerstone Remains on a corpse.
Ascending Through the Tunnel
Clear this area and move upwards. In the following hut, you'll discover a Gravity Stone Fan and Gravity Stone Chunks within a chest. This is where the teleporter trap route dumps you in. Continuing up the path leads you to another Lesser Kindred of Rot, guarding x1 Rune Arc.
Traversing the Roofs and Barriers
Stand in the spot indicated in the picture below and look towards the south-east. You can leap onto the roof of the hut and proceed to the left, over a wooden barrier. The miner in the succeeding tunnel is considerably more resilient than his predecessors, so approach with caution. Behind this miner, use the ladder to collect x1 Somber Smithing Stone (4) from a corpse. Return to the room you entered earlier and eliminate the Lesser Kindred of Rot to reveal a seemingly sinister chest within the hut. Despite ominous blood splatters, the chest contains the Sorcery Rock Blaster.
Reaching the Final Sections
Jump onto the hut's roof to fetch x1 Golden Rune and descend the ladder to open a shortcut. The adjacent room is particularly hazardous, as another Lesser Kindred of Rot lurks behind a partition next to a corpse holding x1 Dragonwound Grease. Swiftly tackle the Lesser Kindred to avoid getting injured. Just before the boss room, you'll find the Faithful's Canvas Talisman on the right side, guarded by two Lesser Kindreds of Rot.
Facing the Boss: Fallingstar Beast
Now prepared, venture forward to confront the dungeon's boss, the formidable Fallingstar Beast. This monster is the culmination of your journey through the Sellia Crystal Tunnel and defeating it will mark another victory in your Elden Ring adventure.
The Sellia Crystal Tunnel is a testament to Elden Ring's captivating design and intricate world-building. Navigating through its treacherous paths offers numerous rewarding encounters and valuable treasures, making it an essential stop for dedicated players.
General Tips
While exploring the Sellia Crystal Tunnel, remember to always check behind corners and inside huts for hidden items and enemies. Miners can be stealthily bypassed unless directly provoked, which conserves your health and resources for tougher foes like the Lesser Kindreds of Rot. Moreover, don't hesitate to backtrack to the Site of Grace to heal and refill your flasks if the journey becomes perilous.
Players should also consider the benefits of the items collected here. Smithing Stones and Somber Smithing Stones are crucial for upgrading weapons, enhancing your combat capabilities for future challenges.
