San Diego Comic-Con isn't just a playground for superhero enthusiasts; it also serves as a stage for other intriguing characters, including the notorious Dexter. Alongside the announcement of Dexter: New Blood's sequel, titled Dexter: Resurrection, featuring Michael C. Hall, fans were also treated to a glimpse of the upcoming prologue series, Dexter: Original Sin. The teaser for this new series shone the spotlight on the franchise once more, particularly with a recreation of its iconic intro sequence. Though viewers are eager, the release date remains unspecified, with the only hint being that it will be out 'soon' on Paramount+.
Excitement is building among fans for more of Dexter's dark exploits.
Set in Miami in 1991, Dexter: Original Sin introduces viewers to a younger Dexter, portrayed by Patrick Gibson. The story traces his transition from an ordinary student to a vengeful serial killer. Struggling to suppress his violent tendencies, Dexter learns to embrace his inner demons. Under the guidance of his father, Harry, played by Golden Globe winner Christian Slater, Dexter adopts a Code aimed at targeting those deemed unworthy of a place in society, all the while ensuring he remains undetected by law enforcement. This poses a significant difficulty when the young Dexter embarks on his forensic internship at the Miami Metro Police Department.
