Upcoming Alterations to Cyberpunk 2077 and Phantom Liberty: An Overview

The forthcoming Phantom Liberty expansion is just weeks away, turning September 26th into a holiday for fans of dystopic future visions. This means significant changes for Cyberpunk 2077, which will happen in the form of Update 2.0, whether you decide to purchase the expansion or not, according to CDPR.

Update 2.0, which will be free, will feature several updates, including new combat behavior for NPCs, an overhauled skill system, interface enhancements, new radio channels and music, an updated police system and more cyberware and gadgets, among other things. These improvements, which could arguably have been originally included, are a promising development, even though its release is somewhat overdue.

The paid Phantom Liberty expansion will encompass all these enhancements, along with lots more features. Both Phantom Liberty and Update 2.0 will be available for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series consoles, skipping the previous console generation.
