Massive Steam Summer Sale: Unmissable Deals on Top Games, Including American Truck Simulator at 90% Off

The Steam Summer Sale has arrived, boasting a unique set of 90% substantial reductions on 22 standout titles featuring the acclaimed American Truck Simulator.

This season's sale brings the customary barrage of discounts across the platform's entire library, but Valve has introduced something special: a handpicked collection of 22 standout titles, each receiving 90% off and special emphasis on a highlighted page.

According to Valve, Steam's Featured Deep Discounts page emphasizes particularly noteworthy deals on some well-regarded titles. It's an intriguingly eclectic list. While titles like Ghost Recon Wildlands ($4.99) are currently popular, calling it an "all-timer" might be a stretch. Similarly, Humankind ($4.99), a 4X strategy game with mixed reviews, and Batman: Arkham Knight ($1.99), rather than more cherished entries in the series, are curious inclusions.

That being said, there are undeniably exceptional games on this list. Essentials like The Witcher 3 ($3.99), Celeste ($1.99), and Disco Elysium ($3.99) form the foundation of any stellar Steam collection. Classic brawler Castle Crashers ($1.49) offers a great party game experience, and Bloons TD 6 ($1.39) provides a highly popular version of tower defense gameplay. These games' quality speaks for itself.

However, I feel compelled to advocate for the American Truck Simulator, priced at $1.99. I have long praised this game for its serene experience, offering a perfect retreat between more intense gaming sessions. Navigating a big rig along a digital US highway is highly relaxing, and the array of truck upgrades, driver management, and load selection add just enough strategy to keep it engaging. Moreover, it serves as an ideal game to enjoy alongside podcasts. Euro Truck Simulator 2 is similarly priced at $1.99 for those preferring a European setting.
