The Resident Evil 4 remake has been a massive hit since its release, and now data-mined evidence is pointing to the return of a fan-favorite story mode. While the remake may have been initially missing a few modes from the original version, Capcom seems to be in the process of correcting the issue. They’ve already announced the inclusion of the Mercenaries mode but have remained quiet about Ada Wong’s side campaigns, which, until now, seemed to be left out of the remake.
Gosetsu, a data miner, recently discovered a series of folders pointing to the potential return of Separate Ways, Ada Wong’s side mission in the 2005 Resident Evil 4. Among the folders were “Chainsaw,” “Mercenaries,” and “Another Order.” While the first two were expected to make their return, “Another Order” is what got fans excited, as it was the original title of Separate Ways before release.
Separate Ways was a great chance for players to get a deeper look into the mysterious character of Ada Wong, a character who has been a staple throughout the franchise. Fans were also vocal about the absence of the Mercenaries mode in the VR version of the original game, and it was later added as DLC. Unfortunately, Ada’s campaigns weren’t brought to the Meta Quest 2 version of Resident Evil 4, but the remake may be the perfect time for Capcom to add the beloved mode for everyone.
It’s unclear how soon fans can expect to see the return of Ada’s campaigns, but the data-mined evidence certainly gives some hope. The remake has already been well-received, and if Separate Ways make its return, it’s sure to attract even more players. Perhaps Capcom has finally taken note of the legendary status of the original Resident Evil 4 and is carefully crafting the remake to meet the expectations of long-time fans.
In any case, the new evidence of Ada’s Separate Ways campaign coming to the Resident Evil 4 remake is very exciting for fans of the series, who can’t wait to get their hands on the beloved mode. It’ll be interesting to see how soon the mode will be released and how fans will respond. Until then, all we can do is wait and hope for the best from Capcom.
